I work with developers and agencies who hire me 'cause they're either too busy wading knee-deep in hundreds of lines worth of code or they'd rather hire an expert to design it just right. Either way, I'm here to help take the pressure off.

10 Things You Didn’t Know About Me

As this is my first post on my blog I’d like to introduce myself. I’ve noticed a trend going around the ‘blogosphere’ lately that latches onto the whole idea that everyone loves lists. In this latest trend folks list 10 things they think their buddies don’t know about ‘em. So, it’s about time I did mine…

  1. I love TV dramas like Lost, 24, Battlestar Galactica, Fringe, Scrubs.
  2. I’m addicted to Twitter
  3. I just started getting into photography. At the moment I’ve only got a Fuji 8100fd but I think I’ve gotten some good shots with it. Judge for yourself
  4. I love to cook.
  5. I read a lot of books, mostly web design and technology related. Nothing better to keep the mind in shape than a good ol’ book
  6. I’m a bit of a movie junkie. I crave action and comedy
  7. I love typography. Not creating typefaces, but the art of typography and how to best implement type in your design
  8. I use too many tabs in firefox. Dozens of ‘em.
  9. I despise Internet Explorer. Not just IE6, but IE7 too. IE8 has less to hate about it, but it’s still pretty darn unlikeable
  10. I made my first website in 1998 at school. It was horrific, but it sparked my interest in web design and those dreaded tables

    For #5… Do you have any good design audio book / podcast recommendations?

    @Cudazi

    I’m not aware of any design audio books out there, but as for podcasts, the only one I know of that is worth mentioning is Boagworld. It’s well presented and they’ve got over 150 episodes, each about an hour long. It’s aimed at web designers and site owners. Definitely worth a listen.

    For #8. I also have loads of tabs open, eating up my RAM. Sometimes I’ve seen it go to 1.5Gb! When I see that I think I have a bit too many…

    1.5gb? Jesus H. Christ that’s a lot. I have about 30 tabs open at any one time—thanks to Tab Mix Plus—and it doesn’t ever go over 500mb.
